Thank ya! (Friends answer the question: "What are you thankful for?)

My babies, they bring joy and happiness to my life and I’ll always appreciate being their mom ♥️Desiree

My health makes me happy. I am grateful to be able to function as well as I do. After so many losses of family and friends and seemingly prematurely, one becomes more focused on lifestyle choices. I am choosing to eat to live versus living to eat. Moderation is key. We can still have fun. I walk 3-5+ miles as often as I can. I believe we must “respect the temple” inside and out. Amen. -Alesia

Every year the my children, grandchildren, close friends spend Christmas together (pajamas mandatory), we eat all kinds of food, drink all kinds of drinks, play dominoes, and other silly stuff, the kids are doing their thing, the dogs are on alert for food that may have fallen, about 9:00 we exchange gifts (I especially love watching the children open their presents, we've been doing this for about 7-8 years straight. This is always my favorite time. I thank God for this day. -Rayfield

Really though it’s my family. I carry them with me at all times so no matter how much I move or how far I travel, I feel protected. And when I get to spend time with my family it’s the best thing in the world. Adrienne

You know Martha, I just had a second surgery... I was diagnosed with cancer years ago... My right breast and lympnodes was taken. I lost my voice , could barely talk , and could not sing; from chemo and radiation. The Almighty God healed me... But the weight of the breast prosthesis was almost unbearable at times .. Yet I asked and praised God for restoring me as often as I would remember .. About 14 years wearing later .. I had breast reconstruction surgery this March , and the second one last month .. God gave me my boob back ... My voice back... I had no idea what He was up to... He absolutely restored me using my own fat from my stomach.. And I remember one day I was standing at the door watching the corn man pass by and I thought " I sure would like one of those corn on the cobs "but I had no cash... My friend went out came back about an hour later with the corn on the cob .. And he no idea about my craving.. So what makes me happiest in this life is knowing that "The Most High God hears! -Ginger

KNOWING GOD is n my life protecting, providing, & proving what/who JESUS is and how HE HIMSELF gives guidance thru HIS SPIRIT 'n me daily!  NEVER worried about anything because HE is always with me...This makes me full of Joy & happiness! -Bev

It has taken a lot of growing in the Lord and life experiences to help me understand and come to grips with the word happiness. As a more seasoned adult I now understand that having all the elaborate toys money can buy do not bring happiness. I understand now that position, power or clout do not bring a person happiness. For me now I find happiness in answering my call as a pastor and teacher. Not because I’ve positioned myself above those I’ve been called to serve but because I’m humbled each time God decided to use me from His pool of millions. For this, I am able to say, here am I send me, Lord, and thank you Lord for using me. Happiness is understanding my calling and fulfilling my purpose. 🙏🏾Tahlib

(I'm grateful) When I see families in need and someone come and provide what that need is for the family such as food, toys, clothing etc., but my heart is it doesn’t stop there. We continue to walk with the families with love with the compassion of Jesus. -Sandra

Spending quality time with the people who I love and who love me back makes me happy. I would say, one thing that I appreciate in my life is the people I've been given who have cheered me on and been there for me. -Ryniece

Oh it’s the kids for sure. They light up our lives. -Cara

My dogs make me happy because of their unconditional love. They are the ones that if you leave for five minutes, they act like you have been gone for a million years. -Kevin

One thing I really love in this life is that I have a home and family and friends who are near. Also that I know that it is a gift from God who loves me. I am His and He is mine. I hope you can use this Martha, I know you have to be careful what you say so take whatever you can. Thanks for asking me ♥️Loretta

Oooo!! That's a good question. One thing that makes me happy is knowing that I have a loving family that I cherish and admire in my life. : ) God first then family for sure!!  But also NATURE makes me happy too!! So does art in all forms!! -Makailah

Finding the positive in a negative situation. Sunshine in the rain. Bright side of dark times. Healing amongst the pain. To be able to give that gift to someone who is sad makes me happy too. I appreciate my parents for giving me a pure heart that I can share with the world. -Sherman Jr.

Hmmm singing makes me happy! I am grateful to be healthy with all my limbs and all my teeth! -Meriah

One thing I can appreciate in life is my health, Violet and her health and how she’s growing into such a big girl, and that God is truly good!! -Arielle

I appreciate how the Lord has strategically used the good and challenging in my life. I stop often to say, “ I see you God…” Reflecting on my areas of growth only reminds of how faithful God is to Me. Jesus is the center of my joy…for REAL ❤️Sarah

I am grateful for family! I love family reunions and everyone getting together! Family, definitely! -James

The love of God. -Ovalla

Being with family makes me happy. Love is everlasting. In my family, playing games together have been a thread through the years as a way to form relationships. When I was little, my grandfather taught me to play cribbage with the board my uncle made in woodworking class.  After comparing notes, my cousins and I agreed that he taught all of us when we were seven, keeping score as a way to teach us addition. As I grew, cards continued to be an evening activity in my home. At holidays, my aunt and uncle with their four children and my parents with the three of us children squeezed together at one table to compete. When I became an adult and had my own family, Mom made it a point to teach her grandchildren card games and spent  hours engaging with them.  Now that I have my own grandchildren, the games have continued with large groups playing together. -Cheri

The one thing that makes me appreciate my life is the foundation of the Lord that was instilled in me at a young age. This foundation has allowed me to face life’s challenges that could have taken me out. You see when I want to give up I can hear the Lord say, “ I have not given you the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind!” 2 Timothy 1:7 -Blessings, G
